As Attorney of Counsel for SRipLaw in Atlanta, Georgia, I am dedicated to protecting the intellectual property assets of creators, innovators, and businesses. With over two decades of experience in copyright, trademark, and contract law, I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by clients in the art licensing and technology industries.
I began my legal career in Washington, D.C., at a large firm where I represented clients in the art licensing industry, focusing on copyright, trademark, and unfair competition matters. My lifelong love of art, art history, and music naturally led me to specialize in legal issues within the creative arts. I later spent more than a decade as in-house counsel, including Associate General Counsel, for technology-driven companies, further broadening my expertise.
In 2018, I established my own firm, where I assist artists, licensing agencies, and consumer product manufacturers with a wide range of intellectual property and contract needs. Since joining SRipLaw as Of Counsel over five years ago, I have continued to advocate passionately for clients, helping them defend their rights and secure justice in the face of intellectual property theft.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics and Art History from Wake Forest University, earned in 1998, and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, earned in 2002. I am admitted to the bar in Georgia and practice in the Northern District of Georgia and the Central District of California.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping clients who have spent years feeling powerless against unauthorized use of their creative work. Whether securing a settlement or winning a case, I am committed to showing clients that they have the tools to fight back and protect their passions.
Outside of work, I live in North Atlanta with my wife, three older teenagers, and our dog. I enjoy cooking, baking, hiking, mountain biking, working out, playing guitar and bass, and attending live music events. One of my life goals is to learn to play golf so I can share a round with my youngest daughter, who is an accomplished golfer.
