Alissa Shapiro

As Attorney of Counsel at SRipLaw in Boca Raton, Florida, I focus on delivering strategic intellectual property, franchising, and licensing solutions for our clients. With over two decades of experience, I am dedicated to helping creators, innovators, and businesses protect their intellectual property and achieve success. 

I earned my Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from The George Washington University in 2001. In 2004, I received my Juris Doctor and LL.M. with a concentration in Intellectual Property from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. I am admitted to the bar in both New York and Florida. 

Early in my career, I worked at a prominent intellectual property boutique law firm in New York City, managing trademark portfolios and enforcement programs for luxury goods designers, as well as corporations in consumer products, hospitality, and retail. I provided strategic counsel to clients, enabling them to strengthen their intellectual property rights and mitigate litigation risks. 

After relocating to South Florida, I practiced at a national franchise law firm, representing franchisees from over 350 franchise systems. My work spanned litigation and transactional matters, including trademark infringement disputes, franchise compliance, and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements. I also assisted start-up companies with franchise compliance under FTC Franchise Rule regulations and provided intellectual property counseling on trademark prosecution and portfolio management. 

Since joining SRipLaw in 2021, I have brought a dynamic and solution-oriented approach to intellectual property law. My practice primarily focuses on the prosecution, maintenance, protection, and enforcement of trademarks, both domestically and internationally. I also assist clients with franchising and licensing matters, ensuring they have the tools and strategies to succeed in a competitive marketplace.
